THE HOME GARDEN
In 2017, I bought a 1926 brick bungalow in a small historic neighborhood. It was on just under 1/4 acre and the majority of it was a long concrete driveway to the detached garage — with a lot of shade, too.
We have spent the last 5 years removing concrete, building beds, installing rainwater irrigation, and creating an integrated, sustainable growing space that evolves every year.
My primary goal has been to recreate an English cottage style garden with perennials that are native to the Southeast while incorporating a large kitchen potager garden too. Welcome to the progress!
