MEET OUR TEAM

  • LAUREN DUBINSKY, OWNER

Part designer, part gardener, and part garden writer/photographer, Lauren created Floricult in 2021 after leaving behind a successful 15 year career in advertising.

She has committed the last several years to traveling and discovering what is possible in both great garden estates and small private spaces, and wants to bring that possibility to all that know her.

Lauren has completed training at NC State University and was just accepted to Yorkshire School of Garden Design’s competitive 2025/2026 International Diploma Program.

  • WILL WHITAKER, Straw boss

Will is an entrepreneur in his own right and one of those guys who somehow knows how to do it all. Part of Floricult from day 1, Will brings a keen eye to creating anything custom.

When he isn’t problem solving one of a dozen challenges we run into on a daily basis, he leads installation solutions for raised beds, garden elements, and spearheads our maintenance offerings.

Will’s secret skill is a perfectly edged bed but don’t ask him to do it too often.

  • Lucie House, Designer

Lucie is a genius designer, gardener, and an even better human being. She’s the kind of woman you want to invite to EVERYthing once you’ve met her.

Previously running her own design & fine gardening firm, Superbloom Natives, we are thrilled that Lucie has now joined our team as our designer!

She is passionate about natives, eco-conscious practices, and doing things better than the other guys - but she also doesn’t take herself too seriously and we love her for it.

She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to horticultural practices and finding the hard-to-find plant for your garden.

  • DAKOTA SAWYER, Gardener

Dakota grew up on a small farm and has been gardening and building his whole life — and it shows.

With experience in Estate Management and in construction (framing, roofing, and more), Dakota works harder than anyone should. Whether it’s pruning, fertilizing, planting, or installing irrigation in your garden, Dakota goes the extra mile.

He is a lover of plants, a compassionate coworker and friend, and the guy that keeps us all safe on the job site.

  • KELSEY CILLO, Gardener

With years of experience in farm operations and as the ex-director of a conservation non-profit, Kelsey is the newest ray of sunshine to join our team!

She has a deep love for all things outdoors and creating sustainable gardens for the families who enjoy them.

In addition to planting and caring for your garden, she is the magic behind the processes and systems that help us spend more time in your backyard!
